Serving all the communities of the Buckeye Lake Region

‘Celebrating Our History’ is this year’s theme

Editor:

This year, the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association is hoping to continue the success of last year’s boat parade by continuing to promote your creative side with another broad theme: “Celebrating Our History.” We again think we have found a perfect Grand Marshal to go along with our theme, as local historian/author and Buckeye Lake’s unofficial public relations expert leads us through the water in the Queen of the Lake, provided by the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society.

What a great way for all the lake area businesses, private and military service clubs, and homeowners groups to join with boaters and residents to show just how patriotic the Buckeye Lake area is and celebrate this great nation. Be sure to come out on the 4th and portray your version of history. Whether it’s the history of the lake, Ohio, this great nation – just be creative!

Please join us, lining up around 10:30 a.m., near the Lieb’s Island boat ramps, with the National Anthem starting us off at 11 a.m. by Howard Everitt. Buckeye Lake VFW Post #1388 Color Guard will be raising the flag.

We then make our way along first the West Bank, to the North Shore to the east end of Harbor Hills. So, whether you are running for a political office, promoting your business, or just want to have some patriotic fun on the lake; come out and show everyone your version of history.

Check out buckeyelakecivicassociation.org for more information and please be our Facebook friend! No fees or preregistration needed, just come out and have fun. Feel free to contact me through our website if you have any questions. Happy Independence Day to all!
