Cecilia Connair




Cecilia Connair (McClelland), age 59, of Baltimore, , passed away peacefully at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on September 14, 2016 after a brief and sudden illness.

Cecilia was born in Columbus, to Thomas Connair DVM and the late Rita Nolan Connair. She was a graduate of Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, OH and The Ohio State University. She was employed as a veterinary technician at the Animal Hospital of New Albany. Cecilia’s favorite pastime was raising, training, and showing her beloved Australian Shepherd dogs in conformation, obedience, and agility. She was always eager to share her knowledge and passion with anyone who wanted to learn about Aussies or dog behavior and training in general. She was an American Kennel Club Breeder of Merit and a member of Columbus All Breed Training Club, The Australian Shepherd Club of America, and The United States Australian Shepherd Club.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Ronald McClelland; all of her Australian Shepherd “kids”; her father, Thomas Connair DVM; sisters, Teresa Connair (Curtis Hayes) and Erin (Jesse) Fanning; brothers, Dennis (Jan), Brian (Karen), Brendan (Karen), and Martin (Karen); and a large extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held September 20, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Road N., Pickerington, with Fr. James Klima, Celebrant.
