A funeral service, celebrating the life of Carl Woodrow Morris, 71, of Thornville, was held September 9, 2015, at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating.
Carl was born in Columbus, on May 19, 1944, to the late Clyde Woodrow and Lucy Ellen (Montgomery) Morris. He passed away at his residence on September 4, 2015, while surrounded by his loving family.
Prior to retirement, he worked in sales with Clarko Bingo Supply in Lancaster, and also managed the Beachcomber at Shell Beach. He was a member of the Thornville Chapter # 156, Order of Eastern Star and the Thornville Masonic Lodge # 527. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, feeding birds, spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Soni (Snider) Morris, whom he married April 15, 1967; daughter, Shelli (Kevin Krumlauf) Morris; son, Corry (Carol) Morris; grandchildren, Carson and Carley Morris; brother and sisters, Carolyn (Ed) Greeno, James (Joy) Morris and Debbie Richardson; his beloved pet, Maggie; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
