We went to the MOPAR RT 79 cruise-in Saturday night and were impressed how the Buckeye Lake Police handled the event. The officers effectively controlled the spectators as well as the drivers who couldn’t resist the opportunity to “burn out”.
As my Bud said, “We didn’t see one cop write paper.” We also noted Union Township, Heath, Hebron police and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers on patrol and it was obvious their policing technique was well coordinated with Buckeye Lake’s lead. Everyone we saw was respectful, pleasant and having a great time.
We trust the event was a success for the businesses and the people of Buckeye Lake Village and look forward to next year. Incidentally, don’t you think the OSHP Dodge cruiser would have benefited from a pair of slicks on the rear end?
