Bruce Allen Ridenbaugh





A funeral service for Bruce Allen Ridenbaugh, 56, of Hebron, was held on May 20, 2009, at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark T. Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Ridenbaugh was born in Newark, on Dec. 12, 1952, to Beverly (Yount) Ridenbaugh, of Thornville, and the late Robert F. Ridenbaugh. He passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus on May 13, 2009.

Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for American Flat Glass for over eight years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed life, spending time with his family, adored his four grand nieces, and helped out at the Old Mill Dam Bar.

Bruce also enjoyed woodworking, golfing, hot rodding and cheering on the Buckeyes whenever they were playing. His family describes him as a fun loving, honest and a good friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his brothers, Brett Ridenbaugh of Colorado and Gary (Evelyn) Yount, of Gratiot; sisters, Cindy Ridenbaugh, of Thornville, and Mary (Roger) Millward, of Heath; nephew, David; nieces, Brenda, Lori, Ann and Amber; great-nephew and nieces, Kaden, Kaylyn, Kim, Madison and Christen; and special friends, Wilma, and Kay.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert K. Ridenbaugh; and greatnephew, Aaron Fogel.
