Funeral services for Bonnie Mae Clark, of Kirkersville, were held August 15, 2016, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, Newark, with Pastor Jeff Perry presiding. Interment followed at Newark Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Clark, age 89, passed away at her home on August 11, 2016. She was born December 8, 1926, in Newark, to parents Lester and Florence (Roberts) Warman. She was a graduate of Newark High School and played in the high school band. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Bell. After Bob’s death in 1976, she married John Clark in 1980. Bonnie was employed by the Newark Schools for 38 years. She served as board secretary, treasurer, vice-president and president of 1184 retirees. She received many awards for her service to both the school district and the union. In her free time, she was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Clark; sons, Lester (Julie) Bell and Greg Bell; step children, Kim Barrows, Kevin Clark and Tony Clark; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Bauer; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, first husband, Bob Bell; son, Jeffrey Bell; and sister, Elizabeth Warman preceded Bonnie in death.
