Bobbie L. Boysel

Bobbie L. Boysel, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away December 14, 2012, at his home. He was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, on May 4, 1939, to the late George W. and Sara Davidson Boysel. On September 13, 1958, he married the former Dorothy Ruth Spires and she survives.

He is also survived by his four children Anita (Ralph Herbert, Jr.) Ricketts of Bellefontaine, Douglas (Lisa) Boysel of Hebron, Barbara (Jeffrey) Klinger of Rushsylvania and Robert (Mary) Boysel of Bellefontaine; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Stanley, Justin Boysel, Amanda

Ricketts, Ashleigh Klinger, Brandon Boysel, Cory Klinger, Kristina Boysel, Audrey Boysel, Allison Boysel and Shannon Boysel; two step-grandchildren, Lacey Mack and and Lukas Harlan; three great grandchildren, Gavin Stanley, Mason Stanley and Ellianna Boysel; a sister, Frances Gilbert of Bellefontaine; special friends, Don & Nancy Mobley, and Crew Sheeley and his mother ,Kristen Sheeley; and current and former members of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha Davis, Mary Saxour, Betty Roberts; his infant twin sister, Barbara; and three brothers, Oscar, George, Jr. and Leonard Boysel.

Bob retired from the Logan County Sheriff Department, where he worked from 1982 to 2001. In addition to farming, he was previously employed at Bastian Funeral Home, Ashville IGA Market, Reynolds Aluminum, Super Foods, Logan County Municipal Court Bailiff, Logan County Maintenance as well as Ashville volunteer fire and police departments.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and NASCAR, helping others, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held December 19, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine with Pastor Jeffory Willetts officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.

Memorial contribution may be made in Bob’s memory to Universal Home Health & Hospice Care or the Fraternal Order of Police, Hi-Point Lodge 60 Scholarship Fund.
