BUCKEYE LAKE – Low lake water levels have turned the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association’s annual Lake Tour of Homes into a walking tour. For the first time in its 30 year history visitors will walk instead of ride on volunteers’ pontoon boats to tour unique lakeside homes.
This year’s theme is “A Taste of North Bank.” Seven homes built next to the lake’s now famous
180-some year-old dam are featured along with the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club that sits on its own island just off North Bank.
This year’s tour is set for Sunday, August 9, and starts at the yacht club off Ohio 79 in Buckeye Lake Village. Walking tours take approximately two hours and will cover two miles along the flat sidewalk on top of the Buckeye Lake dam. Tours start at noon and the last tour leaves at 2 p.m.
Walking tour tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased in advance. The tour includes an optional buffet (cash bar) at the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club from 3 to 5 p.m. for an additional $25 per person. For more information email email@example.com or call Trudy at 614- 406-1636. Tickets are limited.
