Black asks for support

Editor:

I’m Rick Black, candidate for Licking County Commissioner. I’m asking for your support and your vote in the November 4 election.

I bring some unique talents and qualifications to the Commissioners office:

* Agriculture is a major industry in Licking County, and my primary occupation for nearly 40 years has been owner/ operator of a fifth-generation family farm in Union Township. My experience will be a benefit when dealing with the numerous agricultural issues affecting our county.

* My experience as Trustee in a township with industrial, commercial and residential development will be a positive influence when dealing with negotiations, zoning, the maintenance of roads, bridges and ditches, and in attracting good jobs to our community. Development anywhere in Licking County is good for all of Licking County.

* This is my 38th year as Organist/ Music Director at Second Presbyterian Church in Newark, where I’ve developed skills working with numerous volunteer organizations. I’m also a member and leader of several community organizations.

I will utilize my experience, commitment and integrity to properly manage the tax dollars you entrust to the Licking County Commissioners.

I urge you to visit my website, www.voterickblack.com, to learn more about my family, my life and my leadership. Be sure to click the links on the homepage to go to the voter guides of the Newark Advocate and Columbus Dispatch to review the profiles of the candidates for Licking County Commissioner.

Again, I ask for your support and your vote on November 4.
