BLACA Tour of Homes returns August 10

BUCKEYE LAKE – The Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association’s Tour of Homes returns for the 24th year on Sunday, August 10.

More than 100 volunteers will host 500-600 guests as they tour Buckeye Lake shoreline homes. Visitors will be treated to a scenic boat ride as all boats will again launch from the Liebs Island boat ramps. This year’s featured homes are all built on the infamous 4.5 mile long earthen dam that turned a swamp into a water supply lake for the Ohio-Erie Canal in the 1800’s. Some homes have been recently constructed while others are cottages over 70 years old.

The first boat departs Liebs Island at noon and the last boat will leave to start the tour at 3 p.m. Tickets will be available on the day of the tour at the launch site for a $15 donation.

Proceeds benefit the BLACA’s community projects. Call (740) 467-2496 or (740) 928-6874 for more information.
