Billie H. Fox, 86, of Baltimore, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at Altercare of Canal Winchester.
Born on August 20, 1929, to the late E. Lee and Bertha Fox, Billie was a 1953 graduate of Groveport High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952. Billie was a jack of all trades, working as a farmer, bus driver, and truck driver. He was very active as a scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Groveport Alumni Association, serving as President in 2003. Billie was also a charter member of Grace Bible Church and remained very active in the church throughout his life.
He is survived by his children, Barbara (Randy) Demming, Rebecca (Gordon) Conn, Betsy (Timothy) Starkey, Marla Fox, and Eric (Melissa) Fox; grandchildren, Sarah and David Demming, Nathan, Caleb, and Michael (Irene) Conn, Bethany (Daniel) Kinzler, Bethany (Garrison) Lister, Kaitlin Starkey, Stephanie Fox, and Krista Fox; great-granchildren, Carson and Aiden Lister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Billie was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Ball) Fox; his son, Daniel
Fox; brothers, Arnold, Leroy and Bobbie Fox; sister, Louise Brown; and life-long friend, John Heurich.
Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Grace Bible Church, 424 Gender Rd., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
