Betty Jane Jeffers, age 85 of Lancaster, died September 27, 2017, at Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Baltimore, to the late Wilburn and Elsie (Whittington) Tucker and was a graduate of Liberty Union High School.
She was a kind loving mother, homemaker, an avid Buckeye fan and enjoyed going to auctions with her husband John.
Betty is survived by her two sons, John Jeffers, Jr. and Jay (Sandy) Jeffers; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Friesner and June (Ken) Holland; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John F. Jeffers, Sr.; parents; daughter, Cindy Storts; and siblings, Donald, Abe, Billy, Josephine, Patsy and Kathryn.
A graveside service was held October 2, 2017, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, with Pastor Melvin Truex officiating.
