Betty F. Stockdale

A funeral service celebrating the life of Betty F. Stockdale, 85, of Hebron, was held June 26, 2009, in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with burial following in Zanesville Memorial Park.

Betty died suddenly June 24, 2009, in Columbus. She was born in Zanesville, on January 28, 1924, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Bertha (Heizer) Fleming. She was employed by ATT Technologies in Columbus for 24 years, retiring in 1986. Betty enjoyed knitting, listening to Lawrence Welk, romantic movies, crossword puzzles and her daily devotions. She was a member of the Hosanna Lutheran Church in Pataskala.

She is survived by her loving family: her husband, John, whom she married on August 2, 1942; her children, Lynn (Larry) Robinette of Strongsville, Beverly (Kevin) Londergan of Houston, TX, John F. (Patsy) of Zanesville, Rebecca of Hebron; her sister, Ida Leffler of Grove City; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah K. Stockdale Wheeler in 1986; and her brothers, Bill and Kenneth Fleming.
