Annabelle Wilson

Annabelle Wilson, 89, of Thornville, passed away June 5, 2017, at FairHoPe Hospice and Palliative Care.

Annabelle was born March 10, 1928, in Glenford, to the late Miles Shelly and Ruth Hazel (Skinner) Lattimer.

She was a 1946 graduate of Glenford High School, and had attended Newark College of Commerce. She was a member of Fairfield Beach United Methodist Church of Thornville where she served as treasurer and chaired dinners. She also held offices in the Ladies Society and played on the church dart ball team. She loved cooking, flower gardens and cared deeply about her family, church and others.

Annabelle was employed by Licking County Farm Bureau of Newark and Frank C. Bohn Plumbing of Zanesville. She and husband, Paul and daughters, Carolyn and Brenda, owned and operated Big Rock Dairy Freeze on Buckeye Lake for 20 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Kae LeKites of Berlin, MD; grandsons, Aaron Paul Clark and Daniel LeKites; granddaughter, Ashley Jane LeKites Ridgeway; a great-grandson, Mccoy Owen LeKites; a sister, Mary Lee (Kenneth) Smith of Port Clinton, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul M. Wilson, whom she married June 8, 1952 and died Sept. 11, 2011; her daughter, Carolyn Sue Clark who died March 7, 2015; and her brother, Harold Eugene “Gundy” Lattimer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, with the Rev. Cindy Crew officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Perry Cemetery.
