Alma “Louise” (Walls) Roach

Alma “Louise” (Walls) Roach, age 89, died Saturday, June 6 at Laurels of Norworth in Worthington. With her was her husband of 67 years, James “Jim”, her daughter and son-in-law, Myrna and Bob Butler of Reynoldsburg, and her daughter, Janice Lang of Powell.

Alma was born February 6, 1920, in Dayton, to Floyd Walls and Hester (O’Dell) Walls.

She was preceded in death by both parents; grand-daughter, Corine Michelle; brother, Jack Karch; and siste,r Lorna McDaniel.

In addition to her husband and daughters, “Louise” was survived by her two sisters, Dorothy Bennett and Anna Dailey; five grandchildren, Kim (Ray) Jerome, Shelly (Ken) Kreager, James Harlow, Denise (Eddie) Powell, and Lisa (Ron) Day; nine greatgrandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim and Louise spent numerous years raising their daughters at Buckeye Lake. They then moved to Circleville and Hollywood, Florida, before settling in Reynoldsburg. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Vicky with Mt. Carmel Hospice for her loving care and support.

Funeral service was June 10, 2009, at Cotner Funeral Home, Reynoldsburg, conducted by Rev. Marty Dennis of the Reynoldsburg Nazarene Church where Jim and Louise were members. Burial was at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
