A funeral service celebrating the life of Alice Lee Rosebraugh, 97,of Sunrise Assisted Living of Worthington, formerly of Buckeye Lake and Goosepond Retirement Village, will be held Friday at Noon at the Hebron United Methodist Church with Pastor Penny Drenten officiating, assisted by Margaret Walters. Burial will follow at Poplar Forks Cemetery, Gratiot.

Alice died Tuesday evening after a brief illness. She was born March 25, 1909 in Newark, the daughter of the late William Tanner and Grace Lee VanHorn Rosebraugh. Alice, a descendant of a pioneer family, managed the Rosebraugh Addition and owned and operated the parking lot for the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club until her retirement in 1989. Alice spent the majority of her life as a care giver for her family. She will long be remembered for her many contributions to the life of the Buckeye Lake/Hebron Communities.

She was a life long member of the Hebron United Methodist Church, a 75 year member of Eagon Chapter #123, Order of the Eastern Star, Hebron; and the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society.

Preceded in death by her sister, Anna Margaret, she is survived by a nephew David (Anita) Boling and a niece Joanna (Hershel) Omohundro, grandnieces, Alicia Boling (Fiancé’ Brad Nicewanger), Erin Boling, Jessica Omohundro, and her son Caelan, and grand-nephew Andrew Omohundro. Several cousins also survive.

We give God thanks for the staff of Sunrise of Worthington and for the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice who cared for Alice during her final illness. Also, thanks to the Hebron UMC for the prayer blanket.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 until the time of services at Noon at the Hebron UM Church, 504 E Main St in Hebron. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville; where an on-line obituary/guest register is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.
