Serving all the communities of the Buckeye Lake Region

BUCKEYE LAKE – A new plaque just west of the boat ramps is now part of the new Buckeye Lake Dam.

Fairfield County Commissioner Dave Levacy read the inscription on the new plaque at Thursday’s dedication ceremony. It reads:

“The historic improvements to Buckeye Lake Dam were made possible by decisive leadership from Governor John R. Kasich and ODNR Director James Zehringer, critical funding from the Ohio General Assembly and Ohio taxpayers, and innovative workmanship by a remarkable team of engineers, builders and other skilled professionals.

With and unwavering commitment to public safety they overcame formidable obstacles to provide greater security and certainty for thousands of residents, better public access to a unique recreational resource and a brighter future for the region.”
