Runners, walkers beat the heat in Friends event

BUCKEYE LAKE – The Friends of the Buckeye Lake Library’s 8th Annual Covered Bridge 5K/10K Run and 5K walk attracted 194 participants last Saturday. There were 75-5K runners, 44-10K runners and 75-%K walkers. The event is now the group’s largest fundraiser. The Friends are responsible for the Buckeye Lake Library’s building expenses including rent, utilities, insurance, cleaning and supplies.
