In August, the Hebron Police Department received its third Certificate of Recognition from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). This recognition is based on maintaining national standards essential to the protection of life, health and safety of the citizens the department serves. Hebron’s award is unique since for departments its size, less than half of one percent of police departments in the country achieve this status. The Hebron Police Department is the only agency its size in Ohio to have been awarded the recognition certificate and has met national law enforcement standards since 2003.
