A total of 329 runners turned out for the 22nd Annual Baltimore Festival 5K Run on Saturday, August 10. In cool weather conditions, Jarrod Genther won the race with a time of 15:09. The 2012 Canal Winchester High School graduate runs for Ohio University. He successfully defended his 2012 first place finish. Canal Winchester and Ohio University graduate Cory Irwin came in second at 15:26. Liberty Union graduate Adam Schaffner was third with a 15:33. He is a cross-country coach in Kentucky. All three have won this race. Jenna Furr, a senior at Caldwell High School, took first place in the women’s division with a 19:10. She placed third last year. Granville High School graduate Sara Fondriest finished second for the second year at 19:16. Renee Mangette, Liberty Union’s boys’ and girls’ high school cross country and track coach was third at 19:21. She has won the race seven times. Courtesy photo.
