Monday, the Village of Buckeye Lake received a gift of a mini-climber from the Buckeye Lake Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. The dome was recently installed in Ryan-Braden Park and has been a popular addition to the upgraded park. The park has had a face lift this summer with new swings, basketball court repaving , softball field upgrade, and a new paint job on the shelter house. The improvements were funded by grants and gifts. No village funds were used. The Eagles Ladies have always been supportive of the children of Buckeye Lake, said Gayle Thomas, past president of the auxiliary. “We feel that you have to give kids something to do to help them grow into responsible adults,” she said. Mayor Rick Baker, Council President Charlene Hayden, Buckeye Lake Parks and Recreation Commission members, and the Buckeye Lake Eagles Ladies Auxiliary leaders attended the event. “That group has helped the village in many ways,” said Hayden.
