Dave Dernberger’s grades 6-12 Sunday School class at Hebron Christian Church was studying how Jesus challenges us to serve. The class decided to lead the congregation in a year-long food drive. The congregation was asked to bring one can each per week, creating an annual goal of 4,000 based on average attendance. Collections for the year totalled 4,420 items – equivalent to the full depth of the shelves behind them at the Hebron Kroger store. Food was taken to Buckeye Lake LEADS weekly since needs are year round. From left to right, Dernberger, Tom Bradley, Dan Bradley, Cauner Klein, Pastor Steven Brown and Christian Slater.
