More support for Schaffer

Editor,

The Nov. 2nd election is quickly approaching and it is important to make sure proven leaders are in place in our state senate.

Tim Schaffer, candidate for Ohio Senate, is serving our area with integrity and hard work. The following are a few examples of legislation that Schaffer has fought for in our Senate.

This past year Tim Schaffer has been hard at work to reinstate Senate Bill 42 which would prohibit sexual predators from living with 1000 feet of schools and daycare centers. This initial law was struck down by The Ohio Supreme Court, but Schaffer is working relentlessly to get this law back in place.

Schaffer was able to amend a naming provision into House Bill 27, to name a portion of Rt. 22 in Lancaster the “Officer Brent Markwood Memorial Highway.” This honors the Lancaster police officer who was killed in the line of duty.

Schaffer reacted to the increase of internet crime by introducing Senate Bill 183. It was passed to create mandatory minimum sentences of anyone convicted of soliciting sex from minors via the internet.

These are a few examples of the many ways Tim Schaffer has made an impact on our community. They affect our state as a whole, but Schaffer also has proven he cares for the issues of our community.

We strongly encourage you to vote for Tim Schaffer for the Ohio Senate. He is a man of integrity making a difference in our lives.
