Arthur E. Barcus
Arthur E. Barcus, 84, of Hebron, passed away May 16, 2014, at his home with his daughter at his side. He was born January 23, 1930, a son of the late Clarence and Mary Alice (Williams) Barcus.
Mr. Barcus had served his country in the US Navy, from 1949-53. While in the Navy he was decorated with the following medals: Navy Good Conduct, National Defense Service, Korean Service, United Nations Service, Korean Defense, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the Combat Ribbon. He had worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas and retired from Newark Processing.
Surviving are his daughter, Sharon Bally of Hebron; his sister, Norma Woods of Newark; stepsons, Thomas (Joyce) Peck of Fayetteville, Georgia and William (Carol) Peck of Mount Vernon; many nieces and nephews; and step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mildred (Ferrell) Barcus, in 2009; three brothers, Tad, William and Thomas Barcus; and two sisters, Helen and Elsie Barcus.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date at Newark Memorial Gardens.
