Buckeye Lake

• April 16: A Walnut Road man said his sister tried to gain access to his residence without permission. He said he didn’t want to press any charges but the sister was advised to stay away.

• April 17: A Dollar General customer was video recorded stealing five pairs of boys’ underwear.

• April 18: A Woods Avenue man said someone threw broken glass and what appeared to be two metal screens in his yard.

• April 19: A driver was cited for traveling 47 in a 35 miles per hour zone.

• April 19: A Walnut Road woman said a dog was running loose in the neighborhood. A Lynnwood Drive woman said she inherited two dogs from her late mother and one ran away while she was trying to train it to an invisible fence.

• April 19: A driver was cited for traveling 51 in a 35 miles per hour zone.

• April 20: Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute involving a West 5th Street resident whom the officer described as having “road rash” from falling on pavement. The woman who reported the incident said the man – her husband – jumped on her car with her children inside and damaged the windshield. She said he jumped back on the car and continued to damage it. Fearing for her children’s safety, she drove off and he fell to the ground. As soon as she was far enough away, she called police. She said she didn’t want to file any charges and she’s concerned for her husband.

• April 22: Police were dispatched to help break up a fight on a school bus. Order was restored.

• April 23: Police were dispatched to check on a Wood Street woman who may have been an assault victim. The woman said her former boyfriend did assault her a few days prior, but she didn’t want to press charges.

• April 24: Police were called to the scene of attempted suicide; a woman was holding a knife to her own neck when the officer arrived. The officer advised her to drop the knife, but she refused and began to back into another room. After several warnings, the officer tased the woman, who dropped the knife and fell to the floor. She was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital for treatment.

• April 24: A publicly intoxicated woman was transported back to her Econolodge hotel room and advised not to be outside while intoxicated.

• April 24: Officer recognized a man who fled on foot after seeing the Buckeye Lake cruiser.

• April 24: A Walnut Road man said another man threatened him while he was at the Duke service station.

• April 24: A Walnut Road woman said someone egged her house several times.

• April 25: A driver was cited for traveling 52 in a 35 miles per hour zone.

• April 25: A Walnut Road woman said her sister injured her in a domestic dispute, but she didn’t want to press charges. She only wanted to document the incident.

• April 25: A Walnut Road woman said her husband, from whom she has a protection order, called her several times. The husband not only denied calling her, but said the protection order had been dropped, which the officer confirmed. Both parties were advised not to call each other.
