Goodwill needs donations

NEWARK – Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. is asking for help from our local community. Donations have been extremely low during the first three months of the year. Goodwill is in great need of gently used housewares and clothing in any condition. Donations help further our mission of providing training, employment, and support services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Donate at any Licking/Knox Goodwill retail store from April 10th to May 10th during normal business hours and you will be entered into a drawing for a 32” LED HDTV. One winner will be selected from the donors at each of the nine retail stores. Donate daily and you will receive one entry per store, per day. You could win a TV from all nine stores when you donate at all locations! Goodwill is encouraging a minimum donation of three grocery size bags of clothing or housewares. Entries will be given by completing a donation receipt.

Licking/Knox Goodwill would like the public to know their donations are tax deductible, but the sales of these donations also stay in and help our local community. We have a critically low supply of donations and are in need of clothing or computers in any condition as well as housewares including dishes, decorations, and furniture in good condition.

Donations may be dropped off at any of Licking/Knox Goodwill’s nine retail stores and donation centers. You can also schedule a truck pick-up for larger furniture donations by calling (740) 522-1212 and speaking to the warehouse manager.
