Mary Leona Wilson
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Mary Leona Wilson, 92, of Hebron, was held March 24, 2014, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. Burial with full military honors followed at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester.
Mary passed away peacefully at her home March 20, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born February 17, 1922, in Union, New York, the daughter of the late Grant Rowe and Minnie L. (Twining) West.
Mary was a veteran of the US Army WACS, serving her country during WWII. She was a retired employee of the State of Ohio. Mary was an active member of the Hebron New Life U.M. Church. She lived for many years in the Lithopolis area.
She is survived by her loving family, Stephen Wilson of Hebron, Bruce (Sue) Wilson of Groveport, Duane (Debbie) Wilson of Lithopolis, Donna Wilson of Lockville and Roberta Rutherford of Canal Winchester; many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and a great-great grandchild; and her beloved nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Dutch” Wilson in 1973; and her son, Boyd Wilson in 1985.
