LAKE AREA– If they knew what was coming, these flowers may have preferred to stay underground. But, in open defiance of one of the area’s most grueling winters in history, some bold flowers vaulted out of the soil to take advantage of warm air and sunny skies Monday and Tuesday of this week. Of course, by Wednesday we were back to the same old, same old—ice and snow.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday is forecast to be in the midfifties and partly sunny. Otherwise, it’s cold, rainy, or cold and rainy through the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
According to weather.com, we won’t be seeing temperatures return to the normal low 50s until March 21.
Monday and Tuesday were nice while they lasted!
