Milton “Porky” L. Kellner Jr.

Milton “Porky” L. Kellner Jr., age 68, of Baltimore, passed away peacefully at the Pickering House, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side, after a long 64-month courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lancaster on December 11, 1945, to Milton “Porky” Kellner Sr. and Arlene Fowler Kellner Smith. He was a 1964 Millersport graduate. Porky worked for Lucent Technologies for 32 years, 5 months, and one day. He attended the Christ United Methodist Church. Porky was in the Navy on the USS Chandler #717 in Vietnam for 27 months. He was a 45-year member of the Baltimore VFW 3761 and was a member of the American Legion Post 283. Porky also volunteered for the Christ United Methodist Preschool for 5 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Nikki (Jason) Noland of Lancaster; son, Milton “Porky” L. (Angela) Kellner III of Baltimore; companion of 22 years, Diane Friesner of Baltimore; grandchildren, Dalton and Garret Noland, Dietra Azbell, Kurissa, Milton “Porky” IV, and Breanna Kellner, and Savannah Mc- Gowen; sisters, Pam Kellner of Laurelville and Kathy Alkire of Homestead, WV; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and many longtime friends.

Porky was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff of Dr. Becker, Dr. Singh, and FairHoPe Hospice. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, officiated by Reverend Dr. Alice Wolfe. A committal service by the Baltimore Veterans Burial Detail will take place at Arlington Field of Honor following the services. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or to the FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd.
