Help needed to try to keep branch open

Editor:

Here’s an update for Buckeye Lake Village residents on what I have found out about our PNC bank branch closing in February.

I talked with Shelia at the bank, expressing how devastating the loss of our only bank would be. She was very pleasant and wrote down all my concerns. I explained to her that many of our seniors walk to the bank and that its closure would be a big burden to those without transportation. I also told her that the closure would the village’s efforts to grow. How many businesses would want to come to Buckeye Lake Village without a bank in town?

Shelia suggested that residents who share my concerns about the loss of our bank should call 1-269-544-3905 and leave your concerns. Please join me in making that call. It takes more than one person to make a difference. We need to stand together to make a difference in our village.
