Howard D. Worrell

Howard D. Worrell, age 81 of Millersport, passed away on December 4, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center Palliative Care and Hospice after a long battle with cancer, kidney and heart problems.

He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Navy and a retired bread salesman for Nickels Bakery with over 20 years of service. He graduated from Shiloh High School. He was a member of Fairfield Beach United Methodist Church and Mt. Zion Church. Howard also was a member of the Millersport American Legion, life member of the Millersport Lions Club, Fairfield Beach Senior Citizens and Millersport Senior Citizens.

Howard is survived by his wife, Evelyn Worrell; daughter, Nanette (Dave) Husted of Delaware; son, Robert (Beth) Worrell of Gorman, CA; step-children, Roger (Lisa) Dupler, Brian Dupler and Tammy Houche; grandchildren, Chad, Cassie, Troy, Tanner and Dakota; step-grandchildren, Andrea (Justin) George, Anthony (Chelsea) Dupler, Ashley (Jarod) Cirotto, Amanda (Rodney) Wagner and Faith Dupler; several great- grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Stevens of Killian, TX; brothers, James (Eileen) Worrell of Canton, and Don (Karen) Worrell, Evansville, IN; in-laws, Thelma Mauger, Dorothy Davis, Donna Keller, Glenna Young, Karen Boyer and Lois Valdez; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his biological parents, Carl Worrell and Mary Worrell Surrant; his parents that raised him, Edith and Earl Huston; brothers, Bobby and George Worrell; sisters, Mary Gretchen and Alma Carvelli; and in-laws, Mildred Moore, Sarah Scheidegger, Lillian Sites, Carol McKibben , Joe Valdez, Raymond Davis, Clarence Mauger and Charles Scheidegger.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
