Paul D. Cramer
Paul D. Cramer, 77, of Hebron, passed away November 9, 2013, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born on October 29, 1936, in Cincinnati, to the late Orville and Mary (Parker) Cramer. As a child, Paul sang in a choir at church in Columbus. He proudly served his country for nearly seven years in the United States Navy. As an adult, he was a skilled electrician, working for Lucent Technologies for 41 years. He was also an officer in Local 2020 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed golfing, basketball and football. He served as an usher at OSU football games. Most of all, Paul was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Phyllis; sons, Rob (Rita) Detty, P.D. Cramer, and David Cramer; grandsons, Brian (Lisa) Detty, Chad (Jess) Cramer, and Matt Detty; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Cramer and Sharon Dickerson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster mother, Grace Brown; and three sisters.
A funeral service, celebrating Paul’s life, was held November 13, 2013, in the chapel of the Kirkersville Home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial with full military rites followed at Kirkersville Cemetery.
