Ohio 79 closing for a week

JACKSONTOWN – Beginning this Friday (Nov. 15), Ohio 79 will close for up to seven days north of the Village of Hebron, at the Industrial Park railroad crossing. This closure is necessary for the reconstruction of the railroad crossing and approach across Ohio 79.

Ohio 79 will close at approximately

10 a.m. The railroad contractor, Fitz Rumer Cooke, will do the rail work first, followed by ODOT doing the pavement approach work.

Ohio 79 is expected to reopen Friday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m., weather permitting. Motorists can take U.S. 40 to Lake Road to Ridgely Tract and back to 79.
