Margaret “Bick” Walters was honored Wednesday with Park National Bank’s first-ever Hebron Difference Maker award at the bank’s annual Hebron Community Breakfast. Walters was nominated by Mike and Donita McFarland. They cited her 93 years of selfless commitment to her family, friends, church and community. She had a 44-year career in nursing and nursing education. She retired as Assistant Director of Nursing at Grant Hospital. Park National Bank CEO Dan DeLawder, left, told Walters, “You set the standard for the future honorees.” Hebron Branch manager P. J. Gassman holds the $500 award check that Walters asked to be donated to the Hebron Historical Society Beacon photo by Charles Prince.
