Buckeye Lake

• Sept. 12: Police responded to a report of an assaulted male at a Walnut Road residence. The man said he was pushed, but had no visible injuries. He appeared to be intoxicated and did not wish to file a report.

• Sept. 13: Police stopped a vehicle for lane violations and found the driver to be highly intoxicated. Driver blew .281 BAC and was found to have 19 prior license suspensions.

• Sept. 13: Police responded to a report of a non-injury accident in Scooter’s parking lot. An officer was informed that both drivers were intoxicated and had fled before he arrived.

• Sept. 14: Police checked out a report of a disturbance.

• Sept. 14: A driver stopped for failing to yield. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was charged with OVI.

• Sept. 17: A Walnut Road woman reported her vehicle vandalized.

• Sept. 19: A Columbus man said he was told tenants were stealing copper from a rental home he owns in Buckeye Lake Village. However, man said the rental home is currently empty, but its water heater is being replaced, leading to the confusion.

• Sept. 22: Police assisted the Licking County Sheriff’s Office with the arrest of a Hilton Road woman on a warrant. In the process, her boyfriend was found to have a warrant for his arrest as well.

• Sept. 22: A Baltimore man said his Buckeye Lake property was vandalized.

• Sept. 22: Police checked out a report of a red pick-up truck spinning its tires in a gravel parking lot on 3rd Street. Driver admitted to it, but said he’s new to driving the truck and couldn’t help it. Driver was advised to learn to control the vehicle or park it.

• Sept. 22: A driver was cited for traveling 58 in a 35 miles per hour zone.

• Sept. 22: An Ashville woman reported being threatened at a Buckeye Lake Village bar.

• Sept. 24: A Baltimore man reported his Buckeye Lake property was vandalized.

• Sept. 24: A driver was cited for traveling without headlights in darkness.

• Sept. 25: A Myers Avenue woman said her husband headbutted her. He was arrested for domestic violence and transported to jail.

• Sept. 27: Police assisted the Licking County Sheriff’s Office with returning a stray cow to her pasture. The cow was wandering close to Ohio 79.

• Sept. 27: A Renner Street man said his grandson, who is on probation, stole some items from him.

• Sept. 27: A Beacon Light woman reported hearing a prowler outside of her home. She added that a white vehicle would follow her while jogging.

• Sept. 28: A bar patron called 9-1-1 after being asked to leave the premises. He called 9-1-1 to get an officer to give him a ride home. He was advised him that wasn’t the 911 system’s purpose and he could be charged criminally.

• Sept. 28: A Myers Avenue woman reported someone knocked on her door and ran.

• Oct. 2: A Newark woman was cited for driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

• Oct. 2: Central Ave. woman was warned to stop her dog from barking.

• Oct. 3: A Smith Street man said his wife took money from him, although according to the report, this is a recurring complaint associated with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

• Oct. 3: Police spoke with the parents of an area juvenile who was seen with a slingshot.

• Oct. 3: A Zanesville woman said two people assaulted her.

• Oct. 4: A Union Ave. woman said a juvenile threatened two of her children. The officer contacted the juvenile’s mother who said the juvenile may be bi-polar and she’s consulting a doctor.

• Oct. 5: Officer observed two men in an active fistfight. The officer stopped the fight and took both parties into custody. They were charged with disorderly conduct.
