Leith will represent everyone

Editor:

I am a candidate for Walnut Township Trustee running for one of the two available seats. I entered this race to represent ALL residents of the township.

I represent no departments, councils or groups that might influence township decisions. I only seek the endorsements of the township voters on November 5! As a lifelong and fifth generation resident of this township, I think I know our township. I would hope my rural heritage and as a local 30+ year small business owner, I would bring common sense and professionalism to the table.

With ongoing state and federal mandates without funding, we need to be making sound, conservative business decisions. As a 10-year former board of education member, I learned resident input is extremely important prior to any big decision.

Just as important, I strongly believe everyone should be treated with respect and not “bullied” because we have disagreements. Trustees should work together, with the residents, to solve problems and maintain our great community.

I want to bring professionalism and common courtesy to the trustee table. I would appreciate your vote on November 5.
