More thanks to Hoskinson, Schoedinger

Editor:

Have you ever received a gift that has taken your breath away, something so remarkable that it is hardly imaginable? Well, that’s the case when Hoskinson- Schoedinger Funeral Services presented an extraordinary opportunity to Millersport Covenant Church (MCC). The Hoskinson- Schoedinger group, led by Rick Hoskinson and Randy Schoedinger, literally gave the church a building. Not just any building, but one that seems to fit the needs of the church perfectly.

This church group has not had its own building since a dozen or so people began meeting together in July of 1987. As with most churches, membership has fluctuated over the years. Today, the building at 11544 Summerland Beach Road in Millersport fits this body of believers well, including a little room to grow. Steve Bush, the pastor at MCC, has always been very community minded. He and other church members are already planning how this gracious gift can best serve the people of this fine community. In this way, this exceptional facility will be shared with all of the community.

As MCC begins this new era, we know that our sincere gratitude for the generosity of the Hoskinson-Schoedinger group does not measure up to this outstanding gift. In accepting this offering, we are reminded of Romans 12:6-8 “We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously.”

Millersport Covenant Church aspires to demonstrate our heartfelt gratitude to the Hoskinson-Schoedinger company by giving, teaching, serving and encouraging.
