Writer used fake name

Editor:

A recent letter writing hack is going by a fake name - Shannon. There is no Shannon living at the address on the letter sent to The Beacon. Distractors are writing anonymous rhetoric just as veteran “real” resident, Geary Stepp, predicted.

“Shannon” writes as if we live in Peaksville, Ohio, from the Twilight Zone: It’s a Good Life. In the episode, a young punk runs the town, sending peopole with bad thoughts to the ‘corn field.’

I have also heard the rumor that I’m going to run for county commissioner. The rumor was perpetuated by non other than the self-proclaimed ‘retired’ Beacon letter writer, Patty Volland. She made this false claim at a recent township meeting.

It is an election year and I absolutely am not supporting the two trustee incumbents in Bowling Green Township. There is no joke about any of t his! There is absolutely no “chit chat” as ‘Shannon’ writes.

It is time for our township to put experience, maturity and leadership at the helm. Mr. Stepp is also NOT running a junk yard and is not an alter ego. He is a combat war veteran that served our country with honor and he puts his name on his letters. ‘Shannon’ can’t make that claim.
