‘Walnut Township lost a great friend…’

Walnut Township lost a great friend and colleague this past week. Ralph Reeb, Zoning Inspector passed away suddenly at his home on August 29th.

Ralph started his tenure with the township, September 1st of 2002. Ralph took his position seriously and had great fun doing it. He was quick to meet anyone who was planning to build and give them the guidance they needed on where they could build on their lot and what the size requirements were. He was a “people-person” and found satisfaction helping people achieve their goals.

My takeaway from Ralph’s life is this: love your family, love your job and the people you work with showing them honor and respect, and have fun. Ralph’s smile will be etched in my memory forever. He wore it as a badge.

Moving forward, Billy Phillips has accepted the request to serve as Interim Zoning Inspector. Billy was the previous Zoning Inspector for Walnut Township and he trained and mentored Ralph. We expect this will be a smooth transition as we work together to keep Walnut Township a desirable place to live and work for our families, now and in the future.
