State auction features nearly 250 vehicles

COLUMBUS - Approximately 244 vehicles will be up for bid at the State of Ohio surplus auction Saturday, Aug. 24. This is the largest vehicle auction the state has held in six years.

The auction will be held at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, General Services Division headquarters, 4200 Surface Road, Columbus. The gates open at 8 a.m.; the auction begins at 10 a.m.

The auction includes more than 230 cars, SUVs, trucks and vans. Other items include a Woods backhoe attachment, John Deere F725 mower with 4-foot deck and a John Deere 1450 semi-integral plow.

Vehicles may be inspected between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 19 through 23. Vehicles may be started between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.

All vehicles are sold as-is with no warranties. All vehicles must be paid for in full the day of the auction. Thirty-day temporary tags will be available for purchase on site for $18 cash.
