Queen Of The Lake II Tour Boat - Buckeye Lake. Public tours for the season on beautiful Buckeye Lake aboard the Queen of the Lake tour boat. Tours depart every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., boarding at Buckeye Lake State Park North Shore in the Village of Buckeye Lake off Ohio 79. Cost is $10 per person with children under 5 years free. The one-hour tour includes Buckeye Lake history toldbya alocalvolunteer. Reservations are not needed. The boat has a sun roof and hold 40 passengers. Doughty Valley Steam Days - Charm. The 13th Annual Reunion returns July 25 - 27, just off Ohio 557, north of Charm. Daily activities include threshing, saw mill, shingle mill, corn sheller, grinders, baling and more. A draft horse pony pull is set from 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 25. Back to School Savings Workshop - Newark. Five area churches are sponsoring a School Supply Giveaway from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 3, at First Community Church, 4341 Walnut Road (Ohio 79), Buckeye Lake. Open to grades K-12. Village Lanes turns 50 - Thornville. Join the celebration at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3. We will be remembering Clyde “Red” Smart for his many years of service. . Buckeye Lake Tour of Homes - Buckeye Lake. The Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association’s 28th Annual Tour of Homes returns Sunday, August 11. Visitors travel by pontoon boats to waterfront homes. Boats embark from the new Buckeye Lake Winery on the South Shore. First boat leaves at noon and the last boat departs at 3 p.m. $15 donation.
