Baltimore Festival 5K set for Aug. 10
BALTIMORE – The 22nd Annual Baltimore Festival 5K Road Race in conjunction with the Baltimore Festival sets off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Johnson Park. Registration begins at 7 a.m.
Visitors will find signs posted directing them to the park. The 5K (3.1 mile) run is on paved and patrolled residential streets. All runners receive free parking for the festival.
This race is for serious runners, joggers, and walkers, with overall awards and age group awards. Preregistration is $15, with race day registration $20. The first 300 runners receive a T-shirt. Water and fruit are provided at the finish line. Door prizes from area businesses will be awarded.
New this year is a 300 meter Kids’ Fun Run in memory of Jamey Landis, a former Liberty Union runner. The $5 race day registration will be used to support a scholarship in Jamey’s memory. This run is for younger, less experienced runners and is sponsored by the Columbus Eastside Running Club.
