‘We might as well talk to the wall’

Editor:

I have to agree with Judy Allen in last week’s Beacon. It does seem that our elected officials in Buckeye Lake Village want to ‘rule the roost.’

Some of our council members have no respect for tax paying residents. They don’t want to listen to what we have to say. They know our fire chief is not doing his job, yet they still let him get paid $450 every month. For what?

That’s our tax money. We definitely need a leadership change, but we might as well talk to the wall because they are not listening. The only thing they will hear is when the fire levy fails again. If that happens, it will be their fault for refusing to listen to us and take the steps they know are necessary.

Mike’s Auto Service worked hard for the village for many years. Then because one of our council members doesn’t want to use Mike, they give the village work to someone else. That’s not how you treat a loyal local business.

You know the old saying, ‘Monkey see, monkey do.’ We need Patients 1st!
