Buckeye Lake

• May 24: A suspicious person was advised to leave Goodwill store.

• May 24: A North Bank Road man reported the theft of an air compressor.

• May 25: A driver was cited for an equipment violation.

• May 25: Police were dispatched to a possible fight in the parking lot outside Scooter’s Sports Bar. It was just a verbal dispute and the parties were advised to leave the area.

• May 25: Police assisted the sheriff’s office with 9-1-1 hangup call and a fight at Mill Dam Grille.

• May 25: A driver was stopped for reckless driving, including driving on sidewalks and striking curbs. The driver was highly intoxicated with an open container in vehicle and was charged with OVI.

• May 25: Police were dispatched to a domestic domestic at a Walnut Road residence. The victim had visible injuries and the suspect was arrested for domestic violence and transported to jail.

• May 26: Police questioned the driver of a suspicious vehicle in Leisure Village and discovered the driver was driving under suspension.

• May 26: Some fishermen at Buckeye Lake State Park were advised to turn down their music.

• May 26: Police stopped a vehicle with malfunctioning headlights and discovered the driver was intoxicated. The driver blew .121 BAC and possessed marijuana. He was charged with OVI and possession.

• May 26: A Hebron Road man said someone shot a BB into his front window.

• May 26: A Walnut Road woman reported her son was tearing up their home. He calmed down after taking his medications.

• May 26: A W. 5th Street woman said her daughter was yelling and throwing things. After calling police, the woman said her daughter left the residence.

• May 26: A Millersport man said his fiancée had been missing for four days and wanted to file a missing person report. The fiancée was found at work and said she was fine but “broke things off” with the man and didn’t want to see him again. The man was advised.

• May 27: Police checked out a report of an illegal bonfire, but the fire was found to be in compliance with the law.

• May 28: A Meyers Avenue man was cited for possessing pipe with burnt marijuana.

• May 28: A Highland Avenue woman said someone stole several items from her shed.

• May 28: Police were told that someone entered the Valero service station with a knife and showed it to the cashier, but the cashier said the incident never happened.

Hebron

• May 1: Police took a report after a driver left the Duke station without paying for $10.13 worth of fuel.

• May 4: Police assisted Buckeye Lake Police with BAC test.

• May 4: Police took a report after a driver left the Kroger Fuel Center without paying for $46.10 worth of fuel.

• May 4: A driver was cited for going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on North High Street at Newark Street.

• May 4: A South 8th Street resident reported returning home to find a small planter on his porch on fire. He quickly put out the fire.

• May 5: Police stopped a driver for a marked lanes violation on Ohio 79 at U.S. 40. The driver was charged with OVI and blew a .154.

• May 6: A Broadway Street apartment resident told police her daughter took a store credit card and used it to purchase $180 of gift cards. The daughter admitted to doing so. Charges are pending.
