Where’s the beef?
Where’s the beef Buckeye Lake? Why didn’t council members discuss the three options from Hebron to provide contract EMS services at Monday night’s council meeting?
All we got was Safety Chair Clay Carroll reporting that a few village officials met with Hebron officials on April 12. He claims to be waiting for figures from Millersport. The next step, according to Carroll, is a still unscheduled public meeting to present the information to the public.
What about presenting the information to your fellow council members for discussion? Why didn’t any council members ask for the information Monday night?
About a dozen Buckeye Lake residents attended the April 12 Hebron meeting. We all got copies of their PowerPoint presentation before the meeting even started. It detailed the three options and their costs. We were encouraged to ask questions. Residents commented and asked more questions than did our elected officials.
Hebron Mayor Cliff Mason offered to email a copy to Mayor Baker to make it easier to read. But 12 days later, several council members haven’t seen the presentation nor the costs. It looks like Carroll and the mayor are afraid they might like it. It is a good deal for Patients First care.
