Janice Rhonda Cooperrider
Janice Rhonda Cooperrider, 54, of Thornville, passed away in her sleep on February 22, 2013 at her home. She was born at the home of her grandparents Clarence and Pearl (Harr) Chapman in Majestic, KY, on March 19, 1958.
Janice is survived by her son, Dr. Jason Richard Cooperrider of Salt Lake City, Utah, whom she idolized and Jason returned those feelings; her mother, Beulah Cooperrider of Thornville; brothers, Gregory M. (Liz) Cooperrider of Roseburg, Oregon and Kenneth A. Cooperrider of McCleary, Washington; six aunts, Kerry F. Rodriguez of Brookfield, Illinois, Yvonne (Lester) Sharp of Bremen, Patricia (Willis) Chapman of Lancaster, Charlene (Steve) Boch of Bremen, Sharon (Bob) Hickey of Columbus, Arminda J. Chapman of Lancaster and Margie (Randy) Howard of Thornville; uncle, Jack (Kathy) Chapman of Bremen; many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends including Qin Xie, Barb Trowbridge, Nancy King, Todd Sainsbury and Kevin Hudnall.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Cooperrider; grandparents, Ivan and Cora (Shelly) Cooperrider and Clarence and Pearl (Harr) Chapman; uncles, Robert “Bob” and Willis Ray Chapman; aunt, Kathy Chapman: and several cousins.
Janice loved animals as much or more than she did people. She had some formal training and worked for a time as a veterinary assistant. She was loved very much and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Funeral Service was held February 27, 2013, at the Sheridan Funeral Home, with Pastor Bethel Bateson officiating. Burial followed at Maple Grove Cemetery.
