Ashton Trace Lyons, age 13, of Baltimore, recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout which is Scouting’s highest advancement rank. Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and completing an extensive service project. Ashton raised money to build a shed and purchase a trailer for cardboard recycling at Rockmill Rehabilitation Centre in Carroll. The activities department at Rockmill and the environment are the beneficiaries of the recycling efforts. Ashton’s accomplishments were celebrated in an Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday, January 27. Ashton is a member of Troop 444, sponsored by The Little Country Church in Pleasantville and is a 7th grader at Liberty Union Middle School. Courtesy photo.
