Millersport students ask for help

MILLERSPORT - Millersport Elementary School is asking for help.

The 290-student school has applied for a $10,000 Make a Difference grant from NBC4. On-line votes will determine the winner. Voting began February 4 and ends March 7. One vote per IP address can be done daily.

Last year, the Ohio Department of Education ranked the school “Excellent” based on its test results. “We are doing great things,” Principal Angie Harrison wrote. “We want to share our stories with the community AND THE World. We would like to purchase HD flip cams and iMac computers in order to help us ‘tell our story.’”

Classroom projects, school events and individual and group accomplishments would be shared through a YouTube channel featuring student videos.

Voting can be done at www.NBC$MakeADifference.com or via FaceBook by searching NBC4, then clicking on the Make A Difference logo.
