Norman Romeo Castro
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Norman Romeo Castro, 79, of Newark, was held January 29, 2013, the chapel of The Kirkersville home of The Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service.
Norman died January 26, 2013, in Pataskala, following a brief illness. He was born December 29, 1933, in Lewiston, Maine, the son of the late Placido and Marie Rose Castro. A career member of The US Air Force, he was stationed at over nine bases around the globe. He served honorably during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired in 1988.
He enjoyed trains, photography and computers. He was a Roman Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his loving family: His daughters, Michelle (Mark) See and Rose Castro, both of Pataskala; his grandchildren, Jonathon, Ashley, Jennifer and Karolynn; his great-grandchildren, Joshua and Payton; and brother-inlaw, Harold Fogg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena in 2009.
