Zoe I. Gurile
Zoe I. Gurile, 95 of Pleasantville passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Pickering House.
Zoe was a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, Sociables, Friendship Class, Parthenia Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Graduate of Thurston High School Class of 1935, Pleasant Garden Club, and was a retired postal clerk and hairdresser.
Zoe is survived by daughters, Dixie (James) Kilbarger of Arcadia, FL. and Diane (John) Snook of Pleasantville; grandchildren, Troy Kilbarger of FL, Connie Hogue of Westerville, Cindy (Melvin) Romine of Galloway, Tracy (William)
Parker of Pleasantville, Carol (Brian) Murphy of Mt Sterling, JoAnne (Greg) Hadler of Pleasantville, Michelle Smith of Lancaster, John (Stacy) Snook Jr. of Baltimore, and Dawn Snook of Baltimore; 18 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn (Del) Stout of Lancaster; brothers, Gene (Marjorie) Speaks of Baltimore, Larry (Marjorie) Speaks of Newark, Delaware, and Lyle (Salle) Speaks of Baltimore; sister in law, Margaret Speaks of Thurston; and many nieces and nephews.
Zoe was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Catherine Broyles Speaks; husband, Everett Gurile; sister, Ruth Speaks; and brothers, O. Keith, Martin, Forrest, and Lee Speaks.
Funeral service was held Nov. 19, 2012, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, with with Reverend Bill Beard officiating. Burial followed at Hampson Cemetery in Pleasantville. Memorials may be given in Zoe’s name to the Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster OH 43130.
